of June 1st Festival International de Arte Marbella, Spain Anna-Maija Reés has been chosen by a panel of experts to exhibit her works on the 1st annual Arts Festival in Marbella. This event is anticipated to be the most amazing art event that has ever been held in Marbella. Svalbard I was invited to the “Artist Hut” by Harriet Backer, a Norwegian mosaic artist, who over twenty years have visited the place to find inspiration to her art. The hut lies in Ny- Ålesund, on the last settlement before the North Pole in the archipelago of Svalbard. A land of glaciers and polar bears. A land of impressive landscapes. The nature there is overwhelming. As a human being you feel yourself insignificant.
